Painting Process #2 for "The Sylph"

Another day of working on the "Sylph" painting. I've started to hone in on the skin tones, molding the anatomy slightly. I'm posting close-up detail cuts of what I've been focusing on today.

To start with, I began to focus on modelling the face. Still working very loose with a fairly low opacity, just dropping in the shadows and lights. I created a few new colors for the pallette, a range of flesh tones.

Shifting focus to the neck and chest area:



At this point, I realized that the left arm (the one on the right of the figure) needed to be re-drawn, so I edited a bit.



Then I did a little re-drawing on the right arm, and layered a lighter color over the highlighted portion of the face.
