timelord1 has a large, multiple-story writing project that she's been working on for quite some time, a fantasy she calls "Lost in Ethia." She's decided to start up a Livejournal for it-- ethian_wanderer
She has not posted any of her stories yet, as she has just opened the LJ today, but she will do so soon. I've been following her fan fiction (set in the Doctor Who universe) for some time now, and she is a very talented writer. I'm looking forward to seeing what she does with this project.
In her words, "My original stories are cheeky high fantasy, taking place in a place called Ethia, featuring an ensemble of characters, with lots of humor, action, drama, romance and angst as well as a boatload of original and varied-ly borrowed mythology, from Celtic to Japanese, a little bit of Greek but mostly all from inside this bizarre head of mine."
She's commissioned me to do some character art for her, two of which I've posted here.
Here are a couple of her characters:
Cross MacEgan "He’s half human, half Sidhe...He’s completely mad, and the comedy relief/romantic hero of my stories. He’s bold, reckless, a bit thick, overconfident but with a sweet and loving side that he doesn’t hide very well. He’s actually much younger than he appears physically – basically a late adolescent in the body of a 30-something man. He’s fiercely loyal and self-sacrificing, swaggering and the one in the group whose mouth is going to get the group into a bar fight, but he will also be the one to win the fight...He's a reckless git who is as happy to start a fight as he is to finish one, fueled a bit by revenge and without a single thing in the world to live for any more. Manic and mouthy and hiding a huge and broken heart underneath all his cheek and swagger, he is a lot of fun to write, and is the go-to whump target of the story."

Lavinnia: "She is tall and lean and very fey, as she’s a Sidhe princess....She is usually wearing some diaphanous confection of a dress that will have a rip in it or a smear of mud or some other careless, glaring imperfection because though she appears to be built for an aesthetic sort of life, she is never one to sit back and look pretty...She is everything that her appearance would suggest she isn’t. She’s wise and level-headed most of the time, though sort of loses her composure when she gets really angry. She’s a quick thinker, fearless without being reckless, and a total wry snark. She’s Cross’s cousin, and is always trying to keep him from going too far crazy, though she rarely succeeds and ends up having to come in to save him and tell him what an idiot he is in the process. Her father (the major villain of the story) used her for a while for his dark purposes, and now she’s pissed and out to undo all the evil he’s done and remove him from the throne he’s stolen in the process."
