My second entry never got written yesterday. Ah, well; I'm writing one today.

My primary focus today is in gathering some old character art as sample works. I have quite a few pieces here and there, online and off, though I have (amongst other things) a particular set of character drawings in mind that can be refined. Only, I can't find the sketch book they're in to save my life. I'm really, really hoping I didn't accidentally leave it in California when I moved back here. If I can't find it, I still have a large number of pieces that I can use instead, but I really liked those sketches, damn it.

I've been running on creative fumes for awhile now, still creating art (mostly sketches of Veil characters) but not really feeling the drive for it. Something seemed to click the other day, though. I was doing a meditation, and it ended up being rather intense, freeing certain aspects of myself. I came out of it feeling much more whole than I've felt in a long time. It's refreshing.

So, in the spirit of that renewal, I thought I'd share a few of the myriad of sketches I've done recently. Not very many (I haven't scanned all I've done), but it's a taste. They're very rough, but I think they turned out pretty well. The last one is just a sketch of Emilie Autumn, because I found a photo of her on my computer and it was too pretty not to sketch. :)
