I thought I'd post something here so people don't think I've fallen off a cliff or something. That would be exceptionally difficult to do where I am anyway-- no cliffs around, though there are a lot of overpasses.
I've had a heck of a time these last few weeks. One thing after another. Most notably, my file for The Sylph corrupted itself, and I lost a great deal of work. Then my back went out for a few days. I, of course, have some flattened JPG images of the painting that I can build on (I'm so glad I've been posting WIP updates here now), but it needs a little bit of correction work done on the figure, and the loss of layers makes that difficult.
I hadn't realized that my computer wasn't set up for backup and recovery. I can now say that it is. Also, I'm saving extra copies.
The patrol helicopter that flies circuit over the neighborhood is really having a field day up there. The thing flies in circles over us day and night, and it's LOUD. And ANNOYING.
I'm going to try to salvage the Sylph painting today, if I can.
