Dec. 9th, 2010 03:26 pmMy computer is being rather stubborn today, I'm afraid. I had to re-download Gimp, because it kept freezing. And then, a minute ago, I got the infamous blue screen of death. I need to run some sort of diagnostic on it, I suppose. I have terrible luck with electronics of any kind. And, I could swear that the more irritated I become with a malfunctioning piece of equipment, the more it malfunctions. Funny how that works.
I finished up a small commission for
fayanora earlier, and am trying to gear my thoughts towards the logistics of further work. I need to organize some things and work out the best methods of operation. I think I may start "opening for business" at a particular time every morning, and then "close" for further commission work either at a particular time or when I receive a certain number of project requests. What does everyone think of that option?
Today, I'm having to look after my grandmother (who has Alzheimer's) for a few hours; my mother has the flu and is going to see the doctor. So I've unplugged my laptop and am using it down here. Not really able to do anything artistic, but I might take a look at my Veil draft and see what I can do to modify it.
It feels good to be putting so much focus on the artwork again. I've missed it.
