Wednesday Wednesday
Nov. 23rd, 2011 11:41 amGood morning, friends :)
Yesterday's FSD went quite well! Thank you so much to everyone who participated. I'm starting to look forward to Tuesdays now-- I love the interactions and the creative energy being generated.
So, tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the US. I'm going to be in a cooking frenzy. The turkey is pre-smoked, though, so that makes it a bit easier. I'm usually not a huge fan of Thanksgiving, but it's a good time to spend time with family and remind one's self of blessings that can be forgotten in day to day life. I have family, wonderful friends, a roof over my head, food and clothing, all the basic necessities, and then some. I need to remember that, because in honesty I've been succumbing to despondency over numerous things far too often lately. I often find myself trying so hard to keep an optimistic voice, especially here on this LJ, for the benefit of others, but sometimes it feels as though life is nothing more than a daily, pointless struggle, a vain striving for something better. So it's good to remember, to really remember the good things, the meaningful things.
I hope everyone who celebrates enjoys the holiday, and for those who don't or aren't in the US, I hope you have an enjoyable day anyway. :)
