Nov. 24th, 2011 11:17 amToday is going to be busy. From history, I know how this is gonna go:
I'll be heating the (thankfully, this year, pre-smoked) turkey, making the dressing from scratch, making green bean casserole and my garlic mashed potatoes and sweet potato puff with marshmallows, baking a pumpkin pie (frozen), thawing the chocolate pie, setting the table, making tea... warming the gravy, I suppose.
My mother will roll the crescent rolls. She might even put them in the oven, but it's likely she'll ask me to. She did make breakfast, however, sort of.
My father will carve the turkey.
And I'll wash the dishes.
What a division of labor, eh?
No matter, though. I get to pretend to be domestic today! I wonder how that'll go.
If you don't hear from me again, you'll know the house burned down.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
