Impossible things before breakfast... or, well, an asskicking chick kind of dreamlife.

Good morning, folks :) 

I have a nice cup of coffee and can smell the aroma of the cinnamon buns I just put in the oven.  And I woke up about an hour ago from one of my weird ass-kicking dreams.  Yes, I do have those occasional dreams where I'm an asskicker chick who fights oogly monsters and evil.  Don't knock it.  It's rather fun.  *grins* 

Ah, breakfast is ready.   I'll finish this post before I get all sticky-fingered from cinnabon goodness.

Yesterday was punctuated with a thunder storm and a power outage.  And I, unfortunately, didn't get to anything arts-related (unless you count that little blog I wrote), but I intend to put in at least an hour or two on "The Sylph" sometime today.  As before, I'll save copies of different points in its progression and make a Painting Process post tonight or tomorrow.

Well, I'd better get to that sticky bun before it gets cold.

Been watching too much Buffy again. S has discovered Buffy for the first time and as such has been diligently watching episodes on Netflix. LOL Remind you of anyone? hehe

As for ass-kicking dreams. That's so you. I on the other hand dreamed of a pool with a bunch of people and two bottlenose dolphins who were very friendly and playing with all the kids. For some reason my cousin was there and was throwing beach balls at the littlest ones really hard. Meaning that me and dolphins had to kick some ass. For some reason there was this massive orca float as well that kept getting pushed around the pool.

*laughs* S has discovered Buffy, has she? lmao... pretty cool, though you might want to preview them before she watches them. Some of them can be pretty harrowing/graphic, mostly in the later seasons.

Oh, and we just MUST watch the Buffy Musical whenever I come visit. It's season six, the one called "Once More With Feeling". It's hilarious and catchy and... musical. lol


Yep, ass kicking dreams are par the course for me. But Dolphin dreams sound awesome too :D

LOL.. eh she will be 13 this year and she watches worse by way of movies, so I think she will be okay. Besides Willow may be a good influence for her to look "outside the box" shall we say? LOL So long as she doesn't go all dark Willow on me I'll be cool with it.

Yes, we must see the musical one. She'll love that idea of watching it with us. :-) Speaking of visits we need to plan for another one sometime soon. I miss ya sis. I still say I need a tropical vacation with lots of Jimmy Buffet but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. lol

Yep, I'd say Willow's a good example of both the positive and negative aspects of delving into witchcraft. Though of course magick's much more subtle in reality than what was depicted in the show. But they did a great job of focusing on the ethical and philosophical part of it, i.e., mind control, defying the laws of nature, addiction, etc. It would make great discussion material with S. when you get to that part of the series.

Oh yes, we need to plan another get-together sometime soon :D Hey, we should head to Galveston, or even South Padre Island, or something like that. Margaritas on the beach, and yes, Jimmy Buffett :P I can't afford it right now, but maybe soon :)
